Really spies?
A question among many hypotheses:
OZNA, UDB, Milica, Slobodanka and Berisha
“The two-year period of the events of 1996-1997, referred to by Albanian “fathers” and opponents of Sali Berisha, is presented as a “melting pot” and as a kind of gloomy landscape in which the figure of the false “father” appears at the center.”
A question among many hypotheses:
Really spies?
OZNA, UDB, Milica, Slobodanka and Berisha
“The two-year period of the events of 1996-1997, referred to by Albanian “fathers” and opponents of Sali Berisha, is presented as a “melting pot”, but they have also made certain comparisons with foreign secret services, with “Milica” and “Slobodanka”, with strange portrayals, casting a faint and unclear light, but with implications, on a “Balkan” background.
Many personalities in the country and beyond the border, with skepticism, are today answering the question of how and why this kind of absurd and unacceptable insinuation is being “fabricated” by the foreign right-wing media.
In various memoranda and commentaries, in editorials, in television programs and in other propaganda materials, the thesis is being served that “the leaders of the Albanian left” have been or are linked to foreign secret services, to officers and former officers of UDB and OZNA, to “Milica” and “Slobodanka”, but with a “center” that always emerges as a “scenario” against Albania.
In this logic, Sali Berisha appears innocent, while his opponents are stigmatized as suspicious. This is not only an attempt to distort the political climate, but also to shift responsibility away from the deep crisis the country experienced.

The PD deputies will be forcibly brought to the courtroom
The “Mazreku” trial
Regarding the note in the newspaper “Koha jonë” dated 5 November 1997, we “learn” that the chairman of this parliamentary group supposedly denounced that the deputies of the “democrats” parliamentary group would indeed appear in the courtroom. Taking this “notice” seriously and seeing their stance, we ask the question: whether the court orders will be enforced or not.
The Parliament, with moral authority, is arranging a procedure so that these deputies of the right-wing parliamentary group appear in the courtroom, escorted by police if they refuse. The rule of law can no longer tolerate a boycott of the court.

Unfounded speculation
The press and information office of the PSH clarifies:
At Saturday’s national conference, the head of the “W” service, the secretary general of the PSH and his wife were “hiding” as soon as they were implicated regarding some defamatory issues involving the Albanian left and its “collaborators” in the European anti-center services. These insinuations are just as absurd as such slanders that target individuals and groups who play a role in today’s political developments for the democratization of the country and for its break with the past.
and also the political action of the Balkan Party in these circumstances. The party’s character in organizing state reform is centered on strengthening the democratic state and its independence, and on respecting human rights and freedoms. This is linked to the demands of responsible leadership, transparency and the separation of powers.
At Saturday’s national conference, the head of the “W” service, the secretary general of the PSH and his wife were “insinuated” to have been implicated in some defamatory issues concerning the Albanian left and its “collaborators” in European anti-democratic services. These claims are just as absurd as such slanders that target individuals and groups who play a role in today’s political developments for the democratization of the country and its break with the past.
We categorically reject all such suggestions. Our party has denounced, denounces and will strongly denounce every such attempt. These are low and politically motivated insinuations.
